Novel Nanoencapsulated Fatty Alcohol Phase Change Materials (PCMs) and Nanocapsule Loaded Bicomponent PCM Nanofibers

In this study, n-dodecanol and 1-tetradecanol were nanoencapsulated by poly(methyl metharcylate-co-methacrylic acid) (p(MM-co-MA)) wall using emulsion polymerization method which was defined as one-stage (OS) or two-stage (TS). Nanocapsules analyzed Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). According to the analyses results, typical core-shell structured, spherical shaped, uniform nano-sized particles having high thermal stability energy storage capacity fabricated successfully. Enthalpy values of nanocapsules prepared TS process higher reached up 171 J/g. It concluded that degradation could be improved method. Besides, in incorporated polyacrylonitrile nanofibers co-axial electrospinning composite 19 j/g capacities produced. The core-sheath structured surfaces rough coarse but diameter distribution unimodal.
